Embracing Your Career Journey

Last month was graduation season – a time of transitions and reflection that reminds me of my older son’s high school graduation. It was also a transformative chapter in my own life: the moment I left the law behind and embarked on a new path as a psychotherapist and executive coach.
While I thrived on the intellectual rigor and challenges of being a lawyer for 15 years, I yearned for a career that allowed me to help people on an individual level. My search for the right fit took me through in-house counsel roles, smaller firm settings, and public interest positions, however, none were a match.
With a great deal of fear, anxiety, and doubt, I decided to leave the legal profession and retooled to become a psychotherapist and executive coach – a career I had pondered for a long time. And I have never looked back.
I dedicate myself, now, to helping lawyers and executives navigate their careers, guiding them to find contentment and purpose in their professional lives.
Those professionals who are considering a pivot often express the same fear, anxiety, and doubt that I experienced.
You are not alone in those thoughts and feelings. I am here to support you every step of the way with:
• Clarifying goals for a meaningful career move.
• Planning a targeted networking and job search.
• Revamping your resume and LinkedIn profile to highlight your unique value.
• Prepping you for interviews to achieve a winning performance.
• Guiding you through a strategic compensation package negotiation.
Life has risks – we can make them calculated ones and navigate them together. Reach out and let’s take the next step!
If you would like to discuss career counseling or career coaching or just want to vent, please email me and let’s talk about how I might be of help.
Wishing you contentment in your career,
Gail
