Cold Weather Gardening, Anyone?

My older son, Ryan Levan, Levan Legal LLC, has been visiting and remotely lawyering at my house. One day, I discovered that neither of us had any external-facing work obligations for 60 minutes.
Instead of spending time doing “other work” responsibilities, we pivoted and decided to work on the garden in the back of my house.
A perfect wellness formula.
A little nature, some fresh air, and a catch-up on how our lives have been moving forward. A perfect wellness formula! And I have been finding myself extremely productive as the day progresses.
When I think about work-life integration and wellness, I consider whether we are satisfied and growing as we want to in our current positions. If we are not, time away from work doesn’t usually solve the discontent.
It might be time for a pivot.
Rather, it might be time for a pivot – not to the garden but to a similar and more promising position or to something much different that would better match your values, strengths, and career goals.
Pivoting is one of my areas of expertise.
In either case, I am here to help as pivoting is one of my areas of expertise – (having done it myself and helped numerous others) .

Research shows that being near, in, on, or under the water can improve our mood and our health, and increase our creativity and connectedness. “People can experience the benefits of the water whether they’re near the ocean, a lake, a river, a swimming pool or even listening to the soothing sound of a fountain,” says Wallace J. Nichols, a marine biologist, avid scuba diver and author of Blue Mind (2014).
