The Great Pivot

No Time Like the Present
I have found that NOW is the time many of my clients are updating their resumes, tapping their networks and starting to look for new positions. As a former practicing lawyer, I know firsthand that this time of year can spark the desire for change.
Why now? For many, year-end is bonus and evaluation time. Some professionals know that their careers have not been on track and are expecting to hear from their employers that they are not poised for advancement.
Also, my clients have earned their year-end bonuses and are choosing not to leave before receiving them. We are two months from year-end and finding a new position takes, on average, two to six months. So, NOW is the time to start if you want a new position before the Spring.
The challenge in job searching NOW is that finding a job can feel like a full-time gig on top of our full-time job.
That’s where I come in. As your coach, I will help you with:
Accountability: Keeping you focused and on track, ensuring consistent progress in your search.
Time Management: Helping you prioritize and do your search efficiently.
Goal Setting & Strategy: Assisting you to define your ideal position and develop a strategic career search.
Championing Your Worth: Reminding you of your value, empowering you to pursue a fulfilling career, and teaching you negotiation techniques to secure the best possible offer.
Are you thinking about a pivot? Need help organizing your job search? Want a partner to boost your morale and confidence through the process? Please reach out, and let’s talk about how I might support you. At the very least, we can chat and get to know a new colleague.

Research shows that being near, in, on, or under the water can improve our mood and our health, and increase our creativity and connectedness. “People can experience the benefits of the water whether they’re near the ocean, a lake, a river, a swimming pool or even listening to the soothing sound of a fountain,” says Wallace J. Nichols, a marine biologist, avid scuba diver and author of Blue Mind (2014).
